Laboratory Technician
About this role
A Laboratory Technician is needed on a contract basis to support LPF’s health programme in Borno. The role involves conducting routine lab investigations, handling specimens, maintaining equipment and records, and ensuring quality and safety in a humanitarian healthcare setting.
What you would do
- Prepare specimens and reagents for testing
- Perform routine laboratory investigations and diagnostic tests
- Receive, identify, label and process patient specimens
- Ensure timely reporting of results to support clinical decisions
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
- Maintain documentation, quality control, and inventory for laboratory supplies
