Laboratory Director

Vethan Concepts Group Limited is seeking an experienced Laboratory Director to provide strategic, technical, and operational leadership for its Lagos laboratory services. The role involves managing laboratory operations, ensuring quality and compliance with standards such as IPAN, ISO/IEC 17025, and GLP, and supervising staff. The Director will oversee method validation, reporting, SOPs, safety, budgeting, and client-facing activities, while supporting business development and achieving productivity gains. The position requires active IPAN certification or membership. The role is based in Lagos and full-time.

What you would do

• Lead and oversee laboratory operations to ensure accurate, timely testing services.
• Ensure compliance with IPAN, ISO/IEC 17025, GLP and regulatory requirements.
• Manage quality assurance, quality control, audits, and continual improvement.
• Oversee analytical method validation, verification, and implementation.
• Review and authorise technical reports and laboratory results where required.
• Develop and enforce SOPs, policies, and technical procedures.
• Lead, mentor and manage laboratory staff.
• Oversee equipment calibration, maintenance and asset management.
• Ensure laboratory safety, biosafety and environmental compliance.
• Provide technical support to Business Development and Client Relationship teams.
