Kitchen Assistant
About this role
A Kitchen Assistant is needed to support the hotel kitchen, assisting with food preparation, cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards for Greywood Hotels & Apartments in Lagos. The role suits someone who can work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions.
What you would do
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping and portioning ingredients
- Keep kitchen areas, equipment and utensils clean, sanitized and organised
- Wash dishes, pots, pans and cooking tools promptly
- Receive, unpack and store food supplies in designated areas
- Dispose of kitchen waste in line with hygiene regulations
- Refill kitchen stock and support kitchen staff during busy periods

- SSCE / GCE / NECO or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant or in a similar role preferred but not mandatory
- Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
- Good physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderately heavy items
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions
