Kitchen Assistant
About this role
A full-time Kitchen Assistant is needed to support the hotel kitchen in Ojodu-Berger, Lagos. The role involves helping with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and assisting kitchen staff as required.
What you would do
- Keep kitchen areas, equipment and utensils clean and organised
- Dispose of waste in line with hygiene regulations
- Assist with basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, chopping and portioning ingredients
- Receive, unpack and store food supplies following storage procedures
- Wash dishes, pots, pans and cooking tools promptly
- Support kitchen staff during busy periods and report equipment or supply issues
What they are asking for
- SSCE / GCE / NECO or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards
- Team player with good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow instructions
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
