The Borough Lagos is looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join its kitchen team in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. The role involves supporting food preparation, cleaning, and general kitchen duties while upholding hygiene and food safety standards. The hotel targets guests from local and international markets and provides upscale services. Candidates should be hardworking, reliable, and detail‑oriented, with basic kitchen hygiene knowledge and the ability to follow instructions and work in a team. Prior kitchen experience is advantageous.
What you would do
- Handle proper storage and handling of kitchen items
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware and kitchen equipment
- Assist with basic food preparation as directed by the chef
- Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces and work areas
- Dispose of waste and maintain kitchen hygiene
- Assist with receiving and arranging kitchen supplies
- Carry out other duties as assigned by the chef or supervisor
