Key Account Officer
About this role
Moniepoint is hiring a Key Account Officer in Lagos to manage an assigned portfolio of important business customers. The role involves building relationships, understanding client needs, monitoring account performance, and coordinating across teams to onboard, train, grow product usage and resolve issues. You will identify opportunities to expand revenue and ensure customers get value from Moniepoint’s products. The position requires hands-on engagement, field visits, and strong coordination with internal teams and stakeholders.
What you would do
- Build and maintain relationships with assigned businesses and understand their locations, decision makers, priorities, product usage and revenue contribution
- Maintain regular contact and visit cadence, recording conversations, commitments and next steps
- Monitor revenue, transaction activity and product usage, investigate unusual changes and raise risks early
- Identify customer needs and qualify opportunities for Moniepoint products before involving product specialists
- Coordinate onboarding, training, product adoption and service recovery with BRMs and internal teams
- Keep customers informed during escalations and ensure issues are resolved
- Maintain accurate CRM profiles, stakeholder maps, opportunities, risks and action plans
- Share competitor and market intelligence with the State or Regional Lead
- Support local engagement for strategic accounts under the guidance of the primary strategic account owner
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 3 years of experience in B2B account management, banking, fintech, payments, customer success or field sales
- Track record of managing a customer portfolio and meeting commercial or service goals
- Experience working with performance data, CRM tools, structured meetings and field visits
- Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience
- Strong communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Ability to take ownership of customer issues and follow through across multiple teams
