Junior Solar Solutions Engineer
About this role
The Junior Solar Solutions Engineer role is based in Lagos and covers the technical pre-installation work for SunFi customers, including energy assessment, system sizing, solar design, site assessment review and handover for execution. The job ensures proposed solutions are technically feasible, safe and aligned with SunFi standards and customer requirements, while supporting technical clarifications and process improvements.
What you would do
- Assess customer profiles, load requirements, energy goals and budget to determine appropriate system configurations.
- Develop and review solar PV, inverter and battery solutions with proper sizing, compatibility and operating margins.
- Build customised system packages that balance customer requirements, technical performance and reliability.
- Use SunFi's sizing and recommendation platforms to size systems, generate designs and validate results.
- Coordinate site assessments with internal teams and approved Associate Solar Installers (ASIs); review data for completeness.
- Prepare or review system specifications, equipment schedules, BOS requirements and technical diagrams for handover to execution teams.
What they are asking for
- BSc/HND in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in solar design, technical operations or energy systems.
- Practical experience in solar system design and solution development.
- Knowledge of inverter and battery technologies, system architecture and electrical protection.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ability to read electrical drawings.
- Experience with PVsyst, HOMER or similar tools is an advantage; familiarity with CRM/project platforms such as Zoho, Monday.com or Slack.
