Junior CAD/Product Designer – 3D Printing & Furniture (Remote)

About this role

Okemapo is seeking a Junior CAD/Product Designer specialising in 3D printing and furniture. The role is part-time and mostly remote, with occasional on-site measurements and prototyping work in Lagos, reporting to the founder and product development team. Recent graduates or candidates with relevant school or personal projects are encouraged to apply, with a salary of N100,000 to N150,000 per month.

What you would do

• Create 3D CAD models from sketches, photographs and measurements.
• Develop and modify product designs.
• Create technical drawings with accurate dimensions.
• Prepare STL and other files for 3D printing.
• Assist with designing lamps, furniture and home décor products.
• Support testing and improvement of 3D-printed components.

What they are asking for

• HND, BSc, BTech or equivalent in a related field.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of at least one 3D modelling software (Fusion 360, SolidWorks, SketchUp, Rhino, Blender or similar).
• Understanding of basic measurements, dimensions and technical drawings.
• Interest in 3D printing and product development; willingness to learn and take feedback.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with good communication skills.
