Junior Analyst (NYSC)
About this role
SBM Intelligence invites NYSC corps members to join as a Junior Analyst in Magodo, Lagos. It is a full-time role focused on research, data collection and analysis, report writing, and monitoring developments across socio-political and economic landscapes.
What you would do
- Conduct desk research and gather information from credible sources
- Collect, organise, analyse, and interpret qualitative and quantitative data
- Support the preparation of research reports, briefs, presentations, and other analytical outputs
- Monitor current affairs and developments related to policy, security, economics, politics, and society
- Assist with interviews, surveys, field research, and other data-gathering activities
- Review and verify information to ensure accuracy and reliability
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Political Science, International Relations, Sociology, Statistics, Development Studies, Journalism, or a related discipline
- Must be currently serving under NYSC or about to commence service
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
