About this role

A junior accountant role in a technology organisation based in Lekki, Lagos, supporting the finance function with recording, reconciliations and financial reporting. Suitable for individuals with accounting training and some practical experience, preferably in fintech or related sectors.

What you would do

• Support month-end and year-end closing and reporting
• Record and maintain accounting transactions including invoices and journals
• Assist with tax and regulatory compliance tasks
• Manage accounts payable and receivable and reconcile vendor/customer accounts
• Perform regular reconciliations of bank, payment gateways, wallets, POS and digital transactions
• Monitor high-volume fintech transactions and investigate discrepancies

What they are asking for

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in accounting, finance, economics or related field
• At least 2 years’ relevant accounting experience
• Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping and financial reporting
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel/Google Sheets
• Professional qualification or progress towards ICAN, ACCA, ANAN or equivalent (advantageous)
• Experience in fintech, technology, e-commerce or digital platforms (advantageous)
