Junior Accountant
About this role
A Junior Accountant role in Lagos for an ICAN partly qualified professional with at least 3 years of accounting experience. The position involves managing AR, AP and GL processes and preparing management accounts in a fast-paced IT environment.
What you would do
- Lead end-of-month closing for financial reporting
- Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analyses for leadership
- Oversee accounts receivable including invoicing, collections and aging
- Manage full-cycle accounts payable including vendor invoices and payments
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reviews
- Maintain the general ledger and post journal entries

- B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance or related field
- ICAN partly qualified (professional level)
- Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in tech
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to learn quickly in a fast-growing IT environment
