Junior Accountant

About this role

Velvot Nigeria Limited in Lagos is seeking a Junior Accountant with at least three years of experience to manage day to day financial operations in a fast-moving IT environment. The ideal candidate will be an ICAN partly qualified professional who can manage AR, AP and GL processes and spearhead the preparation of management accounts.

What you would do

• Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis for leadership.
• Lead end-of-month close to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Manage full-cycle accounts payable, verifying vendor invoices and processing payments.
• Oversee accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and aging.
• Maintain the general ledger by posting journal entries and adjustments.
• Adapt to new accounting software and automated financial tools.

• ICAN partly qualified.
• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in tech.
