Junior Access to Finance Advisor
About this role
This role is for a Junior Access to Finance Advisor to support access to finance for smallholder farmers and MSMEs, with a focus on investment facilitation, partnerships and VSLA setup. It targets recent graduates or professionals with up to 3 years in finance or related work and is based in Abuja.
What you would do
- Identify and establish partnerships to enable funding from various sources.
- Organise roundtables and deal/matchmaking events to connect project beneficiaries with investors.
- Assist MSMEs in developing investable financing proposals.
- Support investment facilitation, due diligence and investor engagement.
- Assist in setting up and strengthening Village Savings and Loans Groups (VSLA).
- Prepare reports, plans and budgets related to access to finance activities.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Investment, Finance, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship Development or related field.
- Up to 3 years of experience in finance or supporting SHFs/MSMEs to access finance or investment.
- Knowledge of investment facilitation, matchmaking and impact investing concepts.
- Experience in analysing financial needs and matching with funding sources.
- Good written and spoken English; strong interpersonal skills.
