IT Support Officer

About this role

An IT Support Officer is needed to provide technical support, maintain hardware and software, and ensure uptime for Hoop Telecoms Limited. The role is suitable for candidates with IT experience and a focus on customer service in a telecom/office environment.

What you would do

• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and office peripherals
• Monitor LAN, Wi-Fi and internet connectivity across office locations
• Enforce IT security policies, perform data backups and assist in recovery
• Support onboarding and offboarding by provisioning or revoking user access and hardware
• Apply software updates, patches and antivirus maintenance
• Track IT assets, licenses and hardware and troubleshoot issues as they arise

• 1–3 years of IT support, helpdesk or systems administration experience
• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or related field
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Good verbal and written communication skills with a customer focus
• Solid knowledge of Windows and macOS, basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, routers, switches)
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and VoIP/ IP telephony setup
