Rainbow Educational Services Limited in Lagos is seeking an IT Officer to provide technical support for staff and students and to manage the school’s IT systems, networks, and devices. What you would do
- Provide technical support to staff and students to ensure IT systems run smoothly.
- Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot computers, printers, projectors and other IT devices.
- Manage school networks, internet connectivity and Wi-Fi systems.
- Ensure data security, integrity and regular backups of information systems.
- Update software, operating systems and antivirus applications.
- Support digital learning platforms and educational software.
- Monitor IT infrastructure and resolve technical issues to minimise downtime.
- Manage IT inventory including hardware and software licenses.
- Implement IT policies, cybersecurity measures and data protection procedures.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining audiovisual equipment for classes and events.
What they are asking for
- BSc or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of relevant IT support or systems administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of hardware, software installation, troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Good understanding of computer networking, internet connectivity and network security.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general IT support tools.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity, data backup and data protection best practices.
- Experience with school management systems, learning management systems or ERP platforms is an added advantage.
- Relevant IT certifications are an added advantage.
