About this role
Kursi Group Limited seeks an IT Officer to manage the information technology environment at its Bode Saadu and Ilorin locations. The role covers day-to-day IT support, hardware and software management, network and security tasks, biometric attendance systems, data backup, and IT procurement. It involves working across multiple sites to ensure staff can operate with minimal interruptions. The employer operates as a diversified group with activities including mining, processing, manufacturing, engineering, technology, agriculture, finance and trade, with presence in Kwara and Plateau states.
What you would do
- Handle helpdesk requests and close IT faults for both locations, keeping users informed during resolution
- Provide on-site support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, phones, email and Microsoft 365 applications
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and recover failed devices and data
- Orient new staff on IT tools and processes on resumption
- Install, configure and maintain hardware, software, printers and peripherals; apply updates and antivirus
- Support configuration and administration of Zoho and Echo CRM including roles and permissions
- Manage user accounts and email accounts following HR notifications
- Maintain biometric attendance devices and ensure attendance data is available to HR
- Set up, monitor and maintain local networks including Wi-Fi, routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs
- Liaise with ISPs and vendors to restore connectivity and resolve outages
What they are asking for
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or a related field (HND considered with relevant experience)
- Minimum four years’ IT support, systems or network administration experience, ideally across multiple locations
- Hands-on experience with installing and troubleshooting computers, networks, printers, user accounts and backups
- Experience supporting business applications such as CRM, accounting or HR systems
- Experience working in a remote, industrial or multi-site operation is advantageous
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+, CCNA or Microsoft certification are an advantage
- Strong troubleshooting, Windows and Microsoft 365 knowledge, networking and cybersecurity fundamentals
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage priorities and communicate clearly with non-technical staff
- High integrity, discretion and confidentiality in handling data
- Experience with IT asset management and procurement preferred
