IT Internal Auditor

Capitalfield Investment Group Limited is hiring an IT Internal Auditor in Lagos for a full-time role. The position involves evaluating IT systems, controls and processes to identify risks, support regulatory compliance, and improve cybersecurity, efficiency and IT governance across the group and its subsidiaries. Responsibilities include monitoring systems for fraud and inefficiencies, conducting various audits, assessing cybersecurity controls, reviewing configurations and access controls, and coordinating with internal teams, external auditors and regulators. The role also covers assessing IT infrastructure risks, IT controls over backups and disaster recovery, and managing user access to core banking applications and IT systems. The ideal candidate has substantial IT audit and controls experience, relevant certifications, and strong analytical and communication skills.

What you would do

• Monitor IT systems and networks for fraud, misuse and inefficiencies
• Conduct operational, compliance, financial, strategic and investigative audits
• Evaluate cybersecurity controls against recognised standards (NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS)
• Review system configurations, change management, software development and access controls
• Collaborate with internal teams, external auditors and regulators
• Assess IT infrastructure risks and cybersecurity threats
• Audit IT controls, network security, backups, disaster recovery and system maintenance
• Manage user access across core banking applications and IT systems

What they are asking for

• Minimum of five years' experience in IT audit, IT controls, information security or risk management (preferably in banking/financial services)
• Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC or relevant Cisco certifications desired
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant IT-related discipline (minimum Second-Class Lower Division)
• Master's degree or MBA an added advantage
• Excellent analytical, investigative, report-writing and communication skills
• Strong organisational, interpersonal and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Proficiency in audit and data analysis tools including ACL, SQL and Microsoft Excel
