IT & Communications Officer

About this role

The IT and Communications Officer will manage IT infrastructure, provide end-user support and oversee data and communications for projects and client sites. The role includes ERP administration and liaison with vendors, suitable for professionals with hands-on IT, networking and systems experience in Lagos.

What you would do

• Provide first-line IT support to all staff for laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, email and productivity tools.
• Install and configure office hardware and licensed software; keep an accurate IT asset register.
• Administer user accounts, email, file storage and access permissions across company systems.
• Maintain the office LAN/WLAN, routers, switches, firewalls and internet links; troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Run backups, antivirus, patching and basic cyber-security controls; maintain disaster-recovery readiness.
• Design and install site data and communications for project sites, including cabling, network points, switches and internet connectivity.

What they are asking for

• BSc or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field.
• Three to five years' hands-on IT experience covering end-user support, networking and systems administration.
• Demonstrable experience with structured cabling and site data/communications installation.
• Practical experience administering or supporting an ERP or comparable business system.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+, CCNA, Microsoft 365/MCSA or an ERP administrator certification is an advantage.
• Must be able to commute to VI, Lagos; able to travel to or work at project sites as required.
