IT Applications Support Specialist
About this role
The role is for an IT Applications Support Specialist based in Lagos (Lekki Phase 1). The successful candidate will maintain and fix daily software, assist in selecting and implementing new technology, and support trading and back-office systems. You will work onsite full-time with a 6-month probation, reporting to the Operations Manager. The employer is El-Elyon Alliance and Securities Limited, a licensed stockbroking firm focusing on growing its naira trading business and technology-enabled services.
What you would do
- Install updates with backups and rollback options
- Help select and set up new digital tools and write user guides
- Resolve issues quickly during trading hours and escalate when needed
- Set up staff accounts and manage access across email and business systems
- Maintain trading and back-office software and market-facing screens
- Liaise with software suppliers to report problems, test fixes and ensure timelines
- Keep website and client portal up to date, online and backed up
- Document issues and fixes and maintain records
- Monitor and secure system access and data integrity
- Assist with basic testing and validation of new technology implementations

- Plain-language explanation skills for colleagues or clients
- Basic SQL for problem investigation
- Experience with a support ticket tool (e.g., Jira, Freshdesk) and with Postman for testing connections
- Strong security practices (passwords, two-factor authentication, updates, phishing awareness)
- At least 3 years in IT or software support, preferably in financial services (bank, stockbroker, fintech, or insurance)
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace and managing staff accounts
