Investment Manager
About this role
The role is for an Investment Manager in Lagos, part-time and ad hoc as required. The manager will monitor existing investments, perform due diligence, assess opportunities, and provide investment recommendations to the Principal. What you would do
- Identify and research potential investment opportunities across asset classes
- Conduct market and industry analysis to assess trends and risks
- Present viable opportunities with analysis and recommendations to the Principal
- Coordinate due diligence with lawyers, accountants, and other advisers
- Review financial statements, business plans, and investment documents
- Perform financial and commercial analysis of proposed investments
- Prepare investment briefs and recommendations for the Principal
- Monitor performance of existing investments and provide updates
- Escalate material concerns and propose safeguards before investments
- Maintain organised records of opportunities, investments, and monitoring information

- Understanding of financial markets and investment products
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Investment Management or related field
- Experience in investment due diligence and financial analysis
- Experience with high-net-worth individuals, private investors, family offices, or similar clients is an advantage
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent are an advantage
- Ability to analyse financial statements and investment proposals
- Ability to work independently and provide objective recommendations
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder-management skills
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive information
