Inventory Team Lead

About this role

An Inventory Team Lead supervises a team of inventory operators and manages stock in the warehouse from receiving to reporting. The role is for Abuja-based candidates with proven leadership in warehouse or inventory management.

What you would do

• Supervise and lead a team of inventory operators, providing guidance, support and coaching.
• Oversee receiving, storing, counting and tracking of inventory levels, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise inventory processes.
• Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring adherence to SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Train and mentor inventory operators on procedures, equipment operation and safety protocols.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory levels and stock movements, updating records and generating KPI reports.

• Proven experience in warehouse operations or inventory management with leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and systems, including IMS/WMS.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management systems (IMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) and related tools.
• Must be based in Abuja and have NYSC certificate or valid exemption letter.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
