Inventory Officer

What you would do

• Monitor stock movement to prevent shortages, overstocking and wastage
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers for competitive prices and favourable terms
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and inventory control procedures
• Source and purchase engineering materials, tools, spare parts and other supplies
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels, purchases, deliveries and supplier transactions
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with records
• Prepare purchase orders and follow up on deliveries for timely fulfilment
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, finance and warehouse teams to meet material needs
• Inspect delivered items for quantities, quality and specification compliance
