Inventory Controller
About this role
The role is for an Inventory Controller/Inventory Analyst who will keep accurate stock records and ensure sufficient stock across the store. It involves managing inventory processes, analysing stock data, investigating variances and providing insights to improve replenishment, reduce losses and enhance efficiency. What you would do
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the ERP/POS system.
- Monitor all inventory transactions including receipts, transfers, sales, returns, adjustments, write-offs and stock conversions.
- Ensure stock movements are authorised and documented.
- Verify stock transfers between stores, warehouses and departments.
- Monitor inventory levels to balance availability with minimising overstock.
- Coordinate timely replenishment based on approved stock levels.
- Analyse inventory performance and identify trends affecting availability and profitability.
- Monitor stock turnover and propose strategies to improve productivity.
- Identify fast-moving, slow-moving, dormant, obsolete and excess inventory and recommend actions.
- Support demand forecasting using sales history and seasonal/promotional data.

- Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. or HND) in Supply Chain Management or related field.
- NYSC discharge, exemption, or exclusion letter.
- Proven experience as stock controller or similar role in retail (FMCG experience preferred).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data and trends.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes, inventory management and forecasting.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to mentor junior team members.
