What you would do
- Monitor inbound and outbound inventory and set reorder points to prevent stockouts or excess stock
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and cycle counts and reconcile with system data
- Inspect incoming shipments for quality and quantity and log items into the system
- Investigate variances, missing stock or damaged goods and escalate unresolved issues
- Implement stock rotation methods (eg FIFO) and maintain organised warehouse
- Generate reports on inventory usage, stock levels, discrepancies and valuation
- Prepare inventory reports for management and other departments
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, finance and sales teams to resolve stock issues
- Maintain accurate documentation for inventory movements and adjustments
- Support continuous improvement in stock control processes

- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or a related field
- Typically 2–4 years of proven experience in inventory control, warehousing or FMCG/retail operations
- Proficiency in ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (eg SAP, Oracle or similar software)
- Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills for data tracking and reporting
- High attention to detail and numerical accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with vendors and internal teams
