Internal Control Officer

About this role

Internal Control Officer based in Lagos, employed by ARM Hold Co. The role focuses on ensuring accuracy and reliability of transaction data and maintaining a system of controls across ARM group entities including investments, operations and shared services.

What you would do

• Ensure transactions for clients and companies are properly processed and captured in relevant applications.
• Review equity trades on CSCS with bookings on PMS and SBA, and ensure accounts are debited/credited appropriately.
• Review cash transactions, fixed income investments, and mutual fund pricing; resolve price-related issues with Operations and Investments units.
• Monitor subscription and redemption channels for mutual funds and portfolios to ensure optimal functioning.
• Review payment channel partner terms of engagement and client fund matching; review AODs and client data integrity.
• Escalate aged or exceptional items, monitor daily call over activities, identify automation opportunities, and document resolutions.

• 3-5 years of direct experience in Internal Control.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles, financial markets and instruments.
• Accounting degree or related discipline (BSc in Accounting, Economics or similar).
• Professional certifications such as ICAN, ACCA, CIMA, CISI or equivalent.
