Internal Control Manager

About this role

Internal Control Manager role at Aero Alliance Limited, based at Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu. It is a full-time position responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust internal control environment across airport and corporate operations, identifying control weaknesses, monitoring compliance and recommending improvements to enhance accountability, efficiency, asset protection and risk management.

What you would do

• Develop and improve Aero Alliance's internal control framework, policies and procedures.
• Review processes to identify control gaps, risks, inefficiencies and potential losses.
• Monitor compliance with policies, procedures, approval limits and delegated authorities.
• Conduct control reviews across Airport Operations, Finance, Procurement, Commercial, Revenue, HR and Administration, Engineering, Security, IT and other functions.
• Review revenue, expenditure, procurement, payment, inventory, asset and cash-management controls.
• Identify irregularities, control breaches, fraud risks, waste or abuse and follow up corrective actions.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Risk Management or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA or CRMA (highly desirable).
• Minimum 7 years' relevant experience in internal control, internal audit, risk management, finance or compliance.
• Experience in aviation, airport operations, infrastructure, transportation, manufacturing, banking, consulting or other regulated environments is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of internal control, risk assessment, process review and corporate governance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant ERP, accounting, audit or control systems.
