About this role

Internal Auditor role for a consumer finance organisation, based in Rivers state, focused on reviewing financial and operational activities, controls and compliance. Open to candidates with audit experience and relevant qualifications in accounting or finance.

What you would do

• Review bank transactions, cash management and financial records
• Evaluate financial transactions, expenses, payments and reconciliations for accuracy and proper authorisation
• Prepare audit reports outlining findings, risks and corrective actions
• Follow up on previous audit findings and monitor action implementation
• Review assets, inventory and resources for accountability
• Conduct internal audits across financial, operational, administrative and credit activities and investigate discrepancies or possible fraud

What they are asking for

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in accounting, finance, economics, business administration or a related field
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in internal audit, accounting, risk or compliance
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis
• Good report-writing and communication skills
• High integrity and professional ethics
• Knowledge of accounting principles and internal control systems; professional certifications (ICAN, ACCA, CIA, ACA) are an added advantage
