Garki Hospital Abuja is looking for a full-time Internal Auditor in Abuja (FCT). The role focuses on evaluating internal controls, assessing risk management, and ensuring financial and operational compliance. The position involves preparing audit reports for management and the Board, identifying weaknesses and risks, and following up on audit recommendations. The hospital may also liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed. Applicants should meet the specified educational and professional requirements and have relevant post-qualification experience with Chartered Accountant credentials.
What you would do
- Prepare internal audit reports for executive management and the Board.
- Identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies, or financial risks and propose practical recommendations.
- Plan, execute and report on internal audit assignments across departments.
- Evaluate effectiveness of internal control systems.
- Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and corrective actions.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
- Review financial records, ledgers, transactions and procedures for accuracy and compliance.
- Any other duties as assigned.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree (BSc/HND) in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Economics or related fields.
- Professional certification as a Chartered Accountant.
- Post-qualification experience of at least 4 years in internal auditing.
- Added advantages: MBA or MSc in a related field.
- Competencies: high integrity and independence, proficiency in MS Office and ERP tools, knowledge of internal audit standards and risk-based auditing, strong analytical and report-writing skills.
