Internal Auditor

About this role

An Internal Auditor position at Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited to perform financial, operational, compliance and technology audits across Lagos and Ogun states. The role ensures adherence to CBN, NDIC, AML/CFT and IFRS, identifies control weaknesses, and supports governance improvements.

What you would do

• Develop and execute risk-based audit plans covering financial, operational, compliance and manufacturing audits
• Assess internal controls, governance processes and risk management; recommend improvements to mitigate risks
• Audit banking payments, payment systems, lending activities, customer onboarding and other technology-enabled functions
• Ensure compliance with CBN, NDIC, AML/CFT, IFRS and internal policies; support regulatory examinations and statutory audits
• Prepare audit reports, communicate findings, monitor remediation plans and verify corrective actions
• Provide advisory support on emerging risks, internal control enhancements, governance best practices and evolving regulatory requirements in payment and financial systems

What they are asking for

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related field
• ACA, ACCA, CIA or CISA professional certifications; CIBN certification is an added advantage
• 3–5 years of experience in internal or external audit within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, financial services or other regulated industries
• Strong understanding of internal audit methodologies, enterprise risk management frameworks, internal controls and governance
• Knowledge of CBN regulations, NDIC guidelines, AML/CFT requirements, IFRS and applicable regulatory standards
• Proficiency in MS Office, audit software and data analytics tools; strong analytical, investigative and report-writing skills
