Internal Auditor

About this role

Internal Auditor role based in Kano for Muamalat Homes & Properties Limited. Responsible for independent examination of financial records, processes, internal controls, and compliance across head office, branches, and project sites to identify risks and improve controls.

What you would do

• Audit financial transactions, sales records, customer payments, expenses, procurement, and inventory
• Verify property sales documents, receipts, payment schedules, ledgers, and reconciliations
• Review cash handling, bank transactions, expenditure approvals, agent commissions, refunds, and collections controls
• Conduct surprise site checks to verify operations, assets, and compliance with procedures
• Assess compliance with policies, approval limits, contracts, and statutory requirements
• Investigate fraud or irregularities and report findings with recommendations and corrective actions

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or relevant internal audit qualification
• At least 3 years of experience in internal audit, accounting, financial control, or risk management
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, financial reporting, and audit procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting or enterprise software
• Excellent analytical, investigative, documentation, and report-writing skills
