Internal Auditor
About this role
The role is for an Internal Auditor based in Ibadan, Oyo, employed on a full-time basis. The position involves working with multiple departments to safeguard assets, improve efficiency, and support achieving company objectives. Candidates should have strong analytical and ethical standards to evaluate internal controls, risk management, and governance, and to propose improvements.
What you would do
- Follow up on audit recommendations to ensure issues are resolved
- Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, standards and governance requirements
- Investigate suspected fraud and policy violations and report findings
- Develop and update audit programs, methodologies, and procedures
- Evaluate internal controls, risk management, and governance effectiveness
- Prepare audit working papers, findings, and management recommendations
- Analyze financial and operational data for trends and areas needing attention
- Prepare and present periodic audit reports to the Audit Manager or Head of Audit
- Review procurement, vendor transactions, and contract compliance for gaps
- Conduct planned and ad-hoc audits across finance, operations, sales, inventory, procurement, service and admin functions

- Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIA or similar are an added advantage
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics or similar) is an added advantage
- Strong knowledge of internal auditing standards, controls, risk management, and governance
- Excellent report writing, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple audits to deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to relate with all levels of the organisation
- Strong analytical and investigative abilities with high attention to detail
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Admin, Economics or related field
- Experience in operational, financial, compliance, and investigative audits
- Understanding of IFRS, financial reporting standards, taxation, and regulatory requirements
