Internal Auditor

About this role

Internal Auditor role at Watu Credit Limited in Lagos. The position provides independent assurance on governance, risk management and internal controls for a fast-growing non-bank finance company, reporting to the Head of Internal Audit & Risk.

What you would do

• Review compliance with laws, regulations and internal policies
• Audit financial transactions, lending activities and operational processes to identify weaknesses
• Prepare internal audit reports with findings and recommendations for management and Board
• Monitor implementation of audit actions and conduct follow-up
• Conduct investigations and special audits as directed
• Coordinate audits with external bodies and support enterprise risk management processes

What they are asking for

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• About 4 years of audit, finance, credit or related experience
• Professional qualifications such as CPA Part II or CIA advantageous
• Knowledge of auditing standards, laws and regulations
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and report-writing skills
• Ethics, confidentiality and professional integrity
