Internal Audit Senior Associate

About this role

The Internal Audit Senior Associate will join M-KOPA Nigeria’s Legal group to lead end-to-end internal audits as the business scales, across five markets. You will report to the Head of Internal Audit & Risk and operate independently across markets.

What you would do

• Lead audits from planning through fieldwork, reporting and follow-up in line with IIA standards, managing timelines and evidence quality
• Identify root causes, size risks honestly, and write actionable recommendations
• Present findings to process owners and management and defend conclusions when required
• Contribute to the annual risk-based audit plan
• Mentor junior auditors as the function matures
• Travel to audit across markets as required and operate across cultures

What they are asking for

• Degree in business, IT or Business Information Systems
• CIA, CISA or ACCA/CPA certification
• Extensive progressive audit experience, including time at a Big Four or equivalent top-tier firm
• Proven track record leading audits independently across both business processes and technology engagements
• Familiarity with IIA standards in audit work
• Ability to operate across markets and cultures
