Internal Audit, Risk & Compliance Manager
About this role
A senior role overseeing internal audit, risk and compliance for Canary Point Corporate Services and its financial services subsidiaries in Lagos. The job focuses on assuring internal controls, risk management, governance and regulatory compliance, to support the group’s objectives.
What you would do
- Develop and execute a risk-based internal audit plan covering all functions
- Conduct audits of credit, operations, finance, IT and other areas
- Assess controls and recommend improvements
- Monitor compliance with CBN rules, AML/CFT and other laws
- Perform AML/CFT screening and investigations of breaches; handle investigations
- Prepare audit reports and track action plans with management and board committees
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field
- Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA or CFE
- 5 to 7 years of experience in internal audit and/or compliance in financial services
- Strong knowledge of IIA standards and audit methodologies
- Experience with CBN regulations for finance companies and OFIs
- Knowledge of AML/CFT requirements and regulatory compliance
