Internal Audit Officer

Neveah Limited, a commodities trading company focusing on export of solid minerals and agricultural products, invites an Internal Audit Officer to support the Internal Audit Department. The role covers reviewing financial, operational and compliance processes, performing audits and risk assessments, and contributing to process improvements. The position involves evaluating adherence to company policies, internal controls and statutory requirements across business functions and presenting audit findings to management. It requires ensuring accurate records, proper audit trails and effective corrective actions follow-up.

What you would do

• Review financial, operational and compliance processes for policy and statutory adherence
• Conduct risk assessments to identify internal control weaknesses and propose remedial actions
• Perform internal audits and investigations to ensure accuracy, transparency and audit trails
• Review accounts receivable, accounts payable and ledger postings for accuracy
• Conduct inventory and cash count verifications to detect discrepancies
• Verify procurement, logistics and stock management comply with policies and cost controls
• Review adherence to SOPs and recommend improvements
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports with findings, risk ratings and recommendations
• Present audit outcomes to management and follow up on corrective action plans
• Maintain smart KPIs related to audit timeliness and accuracy

What they are asking for

• B.Sc or HND in Accounting, Finance or related field
• At least 3 years of relevant auditing, accounting or internal control experience
• Membership in ICAN, CISA, CFE or CIA is an added advantage
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal auditing standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent report writing and documentation ability
• High integrity, accuracy and attention to detail
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
