Internal Audit Officer
About this role
The Internal Audit Officer will support internal audit activities, assess controls and identify risks across departments such as Finance, Production, Engineering, Procurement, Stores and Maintenance. The role requires a detail-oriented candidate with strong practical knowledge of engineering and automobile manufacturing processes and at least three years of internal audit experience. The position is based in Ode Remo, Ogun State, Nigeria.
What you would do
- Conduct internal audits across Finance, Production, Engineering, Procurement, Stores, Maintenance and other departments.
- Review operational and engineering processes to identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies and potential risks.
- Verify inventory, assets, materials, production records and other operational documentation.
- Assess compliance with company policies, procedures, engineering standards and operational requirements.
- Prepare audit working papers, findings and reports; follow up on previous audit findings.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to improve operational controls and risk management.

- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' internal audit experience, preferably in automobile, engineering or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of engineering and automobile manufacturing processes; familiarity with manufacturing, inventory, procurement, maintenance and quality control.
- Good understanding of internal controls, risk assessment, audit procedures and compliance; ability to read engineering documentation and production records.
- Strong analytical, investigative, documentation and problem-solving skills; high level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Professional accounting or audit certification is an advantage; proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
