Internal Audit Executive

About this role

Internal Audit Executive role based in Abuja for Intersect Consortium, supporting audit functions across a growing group of healthcare and wellbeing organisations. The position focuses on evaluating governance, risk management, and internal controls to promote good corporate governance.

What you would do

• Plan and conduct financial, regulatory, compliance or operational audits
• Coordinate with Risk, Legal & Compliance and other control activities
• Perform financial risk assessments and identify mitigating controls
• Conduct daily expense call-overs and ensure correct postings
• Perform routine stock checks and verify stock records
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to management, Audit Committee and Board

What they are asking for

• BSc in Business Administration or Accounting
• Minimum 5 years of proven work experience including audit and compliance
• Knowledge of economic and accounting principles, practices and financial data reporting
• Professional certification such as ACCA, ICAN, ACA, CIA or CISA
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; experience in healthcare financial operations and risk-based auditing
• Ability to manage projects and apply IIA standards
