Internal Audit Executive

Intersect Consortium in Lagos is seeking an Internal Audit Executive to oversee audit functions across its growing group of healthcare and wellbeing companies. The role focuses on evaluating governance, risk management and internal controls and promoting good corporate governance. It targets an experienced professional with knowledge of healthcare finance and risk-based auditing.

What you would do

• Plan financial, regulatory, compliance or operational audits.
• Coordinate audit work with Risk, Legal & Compliance and other control activities.
• Conduct financial risk assessments and identify mitigating controls.
• Perform daily expense oversight across all organisations to ensure postings are accurate.
• Conduct routine stock checks and verify stock records against bin cards.
• Review final accounts prepared by the accountant before external audit and report risk issues to management.

What they are asking for

• BSc in Business Administration or Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven work experience.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare financial operations and risk-based auditing (3–5 years) focusing on financial risk and regulatory requirements.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices, analysis and reporting of financial data.
• Certification with ACCA, ICAN, ACA, CIA or CISA (one or more).
• Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills; ability to negotiate at all levels.
