Inspection Officer

The role is an Inspection Officer position at CARS45 Limited in Lagos, intended for mechanical or automotive engineers to join the Retail Team. What you would do

• Use vehicle scanning equipment to assess the vehicle's status.
• Perform a comprehensive interior and exterior inspection.
• Inspect engine, transmission, braking, steering and suspension, air conditioning and other systems.
• Conduct test drives for manual and automatic transmissions.
• Prepare inspection reports and communicate the vehicle's condition to the seller for negotiation.
• Follow established procedures and policies.

What they are asking for

• HND or BSc in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering; OND holders or graduates of other disciplines may be considered if they have relevant experience/skill.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in vehicle diagnosis, inspection or repair.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
• Hands-on experience with vehicle diagnostics and ability to use a vehicle scanning machine.
• Good communication skills (oral and written) and computer literacy.
• Knowledge of VIN locations and odometer readings, with ability to detect questionable readings.
