A leading flexible packaging manufacturing company in Ogun is recruiting for an Ink Production Supervisor. The role involves overseeing ink production operations, ensuring quality and timely delivery, and managing formulation, mixing, colour matching, and production planning. The position targets candidates with technical experience in ink production, quality control, and supervision within packaging or related manufacturing. The employer operates in the flexible packaging industry, including polythene and nylon materials. This is a full-time role based at the Ota Industrial Estate in Ogun.
What you would do
- Oversee daily ink production operations to meet targets
- Supervise ink formulation, mixing, blending and colour matching
- Ensure ink quality and compatibility with printing materials and machines
- Monitor raw materials, inventory levels and ink usage to minimise waste
- Develop and implement production schedules
- Conduct quality checks and troubleshoot production issues
- Ensure safety procedures in handling inks, solvents and chemicals
- Supervise, train and evaluate production personnel
- Maintain production records, quality reports and inventory documentation
- Coordinate with printing, quality control, procurement and other teams
What they are asking for
- HND or Bachelors in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or related field
- 5–7 years of relevant ink production experience, preferably in flexible packaging or manufacturing
- Knowledge of ink formulation, colour matching, viscosity control and quality testing
- Experience with solvent-based inks and packaging printing technologies is an advantage
- Understanding of production planning, inventory management and quality assurance
- Experience supervising production teams and meeting targets
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production documentation
- Knowledge of chemical handling, safety and environmental compliance
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
