Information Technology Officer

About this role

Information Technology Officer for ECOWAS in Abuja. The role ensures the efficient functioning of ICT systems for the Office of the Auditor General, supports the digitalisation of OAG operations and ICT projects, and ensures compliance with ECOWAS ICT policies and cybersecurity standards.

What you would do

• Contribute to the development of the OAG ICT strategy aligned with ECOWAS digital transformation objectives.
• Contribute to ICT policies, standards and procedures.
• Prepare annual ICT work plans and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with ECOWAS ICT governance frameworks.
• Manage networks (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi/VPN) and internet connectivity.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments.

What they are asking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
• Master’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business Information Systems or related field and/or professional IT certification is an added advantage.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible ICT experience in ICT operations including infrastructure, systems administration, cybersecurity, or enterprise ICT management.
• Experience in general ICT service operations is an added advantage.
• Age below 45 years old (internal candidates exempt).
• Fluency in at least one ECOWAS official language (English, French or Portuguese); knowledge of an additional language is an added advantage.
