Information & Cybersecurity (ICS) Security Standard Officer

About this role

The Information and Cybersecurity (ICS) Security Standard Officer role is based in Lagos and sits in FirstBank’s information/cybersecurity risk and governance team. It involves developing and enforcing security policies to meet business needs and maintaining regulatory compliance standards such as ISO 27001 and PCI DSS.

What you would do

• Validate security requirements and review documentation to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
• Plan and coordinate independent Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT)
• Monitor compliance with information/cybersecurity policies, baselines, guidelines and procedures
• Assess threats and vulnerabilities in the bank's electronic products and technology platforms and provide risk guidance
• Ensure timely corrective actions and provide status reporting
• Manage internal and external security audits

What they are asking for

• First Degree in computer science or engineering
• Professional certifications: CISM, CISSP, ISO27001 Lead Implementer, ISO27032 Cyber Security Lead Manager, or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years' experience in security assessment and compliance related to PCI-DSS, ISO 27001 and Cybersecurity Framework
• Knowledge of banking structures, policies and procedures, and operational risk
• Deep knowledge of information security management frameworks and practices (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, NIST)
• Strong communication, analytical, interpersonal and leadership skills; good presentation abilities
