Incident Management & Response Specialist
About this role
This role is for a cybersecurity professional to manage First Bank's incident response in Lagos. The incumbent will coordinate investigations, containment, recovery, and reporting for security incidents. It is intended for someone with several years of incident response or security operations experience.
What you would do
- Coordinate management of cybersecurity incidents from detection through resolution.
- Conduct incident investigations to determine root causes and business impact.
- Support containment, eradication and recovery activities during security incidents.
- Monitor security events and ensure timely escalation of high-risk incidents.
- Act as the central point of coordination during major security incidents.
- Prepare incident reports, management updates and post-incident reviews.
What they are asking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in incident response, security operations or cybersecurity.
- Experience handling cybersecurity incidents in a complex technology environment.
- Strong understanding of threat detection, security monitoring and incident handling processes.
- Knowledge of industry frameworks and best practices for incident response.
- Relevant certifications such as GCIH, CISSP, CEH, or CISM are an advantage.
