About this role
First Bank of Nigeria Limited (FirstBank) is seeking an Incident Management & Response Specialist in Lagos. The role coordinates cybersecurity incidents from detection to resolution and supports investigations, containment, recovery, reporting and improvements to the incident response. It is suitable for professionals with experience in incident response and security operations.
What you would do
- Coordinate management of cybersecurity incidents from detection to resolution.
- Investigate incidents to determine root causes and business impact.
- Support containment, eradication and recovery activities during security incidents.
- Monitor security events and escalate high-risk incidents promptly.
- Serve as central point of coordination during major security incidents.
- Prepare incident reports and post-incident reviews.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Incident Response, Security Operations, Cybersecurity or related field.
- Experience handling cybersecurity incidents in a complex technology environment.
- Good understanding of threat detection, security monitoring and incident handling processes.
- Knowledge of industry frameworks and best practices for incident response.
- Relevant certifications such as GCIH, CISSP, CEH, CISM or related certifications.
