In-House Accountant
About this role
In-House Accountant for a growing cosmetics and skin-health business based in Lekki, Lagos. The role reports to the Managing Director / Operations Lead and involves overseeing day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and inventory controls to support management decisions.
What you would do
- Manage accounts payable and receivable and follow up on payments
- Record and classify transactions with proper documentation
- Maintain organised records for audit purposes
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports
- Reconcile bank, POS, and other payment channels with sales records
- Monitor inventory levels, investigate variances, and support stock controls and internal procedures
What they are asking for
- BSc or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Two to four years of hands-on accounting experience
- Proficiency in Excel and at least one accounting software (QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or Sage)
- Progress toward ICAN or equivalent qualification is an added advantage
- Experience in retail, FMCG, cosmetics, distribution, or product-based business is a plus
- Strong numerical accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
