IGCSE English and Literature Teacher
About this role
An IGCSE English and Literature Teacher is sought for Noble Hall Leadership Academy for Girls, a boarding and day school in Abuja for girls aged 11 to 16. The role involves delivering high-quality English Language and Literature lessons in line with the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum to develop critical thinking, creativity and strong communication skills. It may also require participation in boarding life and other school duties as needed.
What you would do
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE English curriculum.
- Prepare students for IGCSE examinations in English Language and Literature.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with school and Cambridge standards.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners' needs.
- Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities (e.g., debate, writing clubs).
- Maintain classroom management and participate in school events, pastoral duties and boarding life where required.

- Bachelor's degree in English, Literature or related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
- Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching IGCSE English in a British or international school.

- Excellent written and spoken English; a passion for teaching and mentoring young girls.
