About this role

IBEDC in Ibadan, Oyo, is recruiting for an Operations Audit Officer (full-time). The role focuses on reviewing operations and systems to ensure conformity with policies and regulations for the protection of the company’s assets.

What you would do

• Review business operations regularly according to the annual audit plan and make recommendations.
• Ensure implementation of approved remedial actions through follow-up and escalation.
• Assist in defining, drafting, and reviewing internal audit policies and procedures.
• Coordinate inspection of inventories to ensure conformity with work orders and LPOs.
• Prepare periodic and ad hoc reports for relevant stakeholders.
• Carry out other sundry assignments as directed by the Chief Audit and Risk.

What they are asking for

• A bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline.
• Professional membership or certification in relevant fields (IT, Engineering, Finance, Audit) is an advantage.
• At least four years of auditing or related experience.
• Understanding of internal auditing standards and the ability to quickly develop knowledge of audit functions.
• Strong analytical, investigative, organisational, and time management skills; good business writing.
• Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail; results-oriented.
