What you would do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair and maintain refrigeration and HVAC systems.
• Fabricate, install, modify, repair and maintain HVAC ductwork and related mechanical systems.
• Install and maintain air distribution systems and related components.
• Perform duct routing, modifications and system improvements to optimise airflow.
• Maintain and service commercial refrigeration equipment and components.
• Identify and repair refrigerant leaks and electrical or compressor faults.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, performance checks and operational testing.
• Maintain maintenance logs, service records and spare parts inventories.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate with the engineering team and external service providers.
• Assist in operation and maintenance of AHUs, FCUs and related HVAC&R components.

• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in HVACR including ductwork and commercial refrigeration maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Technical certificate, diploma, apprenticeship or vocational training in refrigeration and air conditioning or related field is advantageous.
• Good understanding of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, motor starters, refrigeration circuits and HVAC controls.
• Experience with commercial refrigeration equipment used in hotels, restaurants and kitchens.
• Hands-on experience with HVAC ductwork.
• Ability to use electrical testing instruments, refrigeration gauges and service tools safely.
• Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, record-keeping and teamwork skills.
