Human Resources Officer
About this role
A Human Resources Officer is sought to manage HR functions, ensure staff welfare and compliance with policies and labour laws, and support recruitment, onboarding, performance management and HR systems within a humanitarian NGO setting in Borno. The role involves working with management and staff to maintain transparent HR practices and contribute to workforce planning and staff development.
What you would do
- Coordinate recruitment activities according to staffing plans and policies
- Prepare job descriptions, shortlists and interview materials and organise selection activities
- Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including contracts and induction
- Maintain personnel records, HR information systems and staff database
- Support policy implementation, compliance with labour laws and organizational procedures
- Assist with performance management processes and staff development needs
