Human Resources Manager

About this role

A Human Resources Manager to report to the CEO and Executive Directors at a top-tier co-educational secondary school in Lagos. The role covers employment, employee relations, compensation, benefits and other HR areas, with a focus on standardising HR activities and supporting staff development.

What you would do

• Standardise HR activities and ensure processes are consistent across the organisation.
• Oversee recruitment processes, ensure targets are met and recruitment administration meets corporate standards.
• Communicate and manage the performance management system and appraisals.
• Conduct needs analyses to determine training requirements and coordinate staff development for high-potential employees.
• Lead annual compensation actions and develop policies guiding them; conduct job pricing and market analyses.
• Oversee HR operations to deliver cost-effective, timely services and ensure policy implementation and employee guidance.

What they are asking for

• University degree in HR, business administration, behavioural science or social science; postgraduate HR qualification preferred.
• 10-15 years of HR experience in educational or hospitality settings; familiarity with labour law and HR standards.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation and analytical skills; ability to handle confidential information.
• Excellent verbal and written English; good interpersonal skills; knowledge of a local language is advantageous.
• Ability to work with all management levels and demonstrate leadership in recruitment and KPI tracking.
